Why do I have snowy pictures?

  • If your cable signal is passing through your VCR, check that your VCR is powered on.
  • Confirm that you have picked the TV Data port on the white wall socket, and not the FM radio port.
  • Confirm that all connections are tight.
  • Only use high quality metal cable splitters. All white plastic splitters should be removed.
  • Have you had new windows or fascia boards fitted, if so, has the cable been damaged during their installation.
  • If your bad pictures are RTE, TV3 or TG4, confirm that you haven't tuned your TV to UHF off-air reception. Please use the tuning details above.

Why won't my TV tune to the cable TV?

  • Is your TV a UHF only TV, if so, you will have to buy some other tuning equipment e.g. Subscribe to our premium sports or movie package and we will supply you with a cable set-top box which has a scart output or buy a VCR which has a multi band tuner.
  • Is your TV a plasma TV which was designed for office use, with scart inputs only. Subscribe to our premium sports or movie package and we will supply you with a cable set-top box which has a scart output or buy a VCR that has a multi band tuner and use the scart output
