Customer Support - Terms & Conditions

 

Connection to Crossan Cable Terms and Conditions

 

1. Subject to technical limitations, the Service shall include such television, FM radio channels, and Broadband services as are licensed for distribution by the Minister for Department of Communications, and are available in adequate signal strength to permit their efficient distribution. Crossan Cable shall endeavor at all times to secure improvements in the quality and content of the Service.

2. SUBSCRIPTION - The subscriber shall pay a subscription in advance in accordance with the following table: Discounted Monthly by Direct Debit - Quarterly - 1/2 Yearly - Yearly.

3. CONNECTION FEE - the subscriber shall pay a non returnable connection fee of €45.00 before connection to the Service (where connection fees are necessary).

4. On expiry of initial minimum term the subscriber may terminate this agreement on giving Crossan Cable not less than one months notice in writing. Crossan Cable shall have a similar right. On termination of agreement it is the responsibility of the customer to cancel the direct debit.

5. Crossan Cable may vary the subscription on giving notice which will be advertised in local Press, www.crossan.ie. The subscriber may terminate this Agreement, in accordance with Condition 4, if this variation of terms is not acceptable.

6. The subscriber shall make all subscription payments in the manner directed by Crossan Cable remittance by post should be by cheque, postal order, money order, or direct debit. Crossan Cable accept no responsibility in the event of non-delivery of payments. Where insufficient funds are not available to meet Direct Debit, a fee of €20 will be levied.

7. DEFAULT - If the subscriber fails to make a subscription payment due under the terms of this Agreement, Crossan Cable may disconnect the Service immediately or at its absolute discretion. In the event of such disconnection the subscriber may, at the discretion of Crossan Cable, be reconnected upon payment of a cable reconnection fee of €45.00 and/or €20 administrator charge for cable modem reconnection, together with arrears due.

8. Crossan Cable property, the Service and its associated equipment, including the outlet box, cable tv decoder box, and broadband equipment located in the premises, shall remain the property of Crossan Cable.

9. REMOVALS/EXTRA EQUIPMENT - Crossan Cable shall supply the Service to a designated demarcation point at the premises, as agreed with the subscriber. Crossan Cable on instruction from the subscriber will distribute signals to any part of the premises. This service can be negotiated.

10. INTERRUPTION - Crossan Cable shall provide for prompt maintenance of the Service and associated equipment, but shall not be responsible for interruptions of the Service, or any associated losses incurred.

11. ACCESS - The subscriber, if so requested, shall undertake to permit the servants or agents of Crossan Cable to enter upon the premises at all reasonable times for the purpose of effecting any installation, repair, adjustment, connection, disconnection, or inspection of the Service or Equipment.

12. The subscriber undertakes that should he terminate this Agreement with Crossan Cable, he will continue to grant them such wayleave permission as shall be necessary to continue provision of the Service to neighbouring premises. In the event of people vacating houses, institutions, flats etc., during that period the contract shall be honoured by the new tenant.

13. STARTING DATE - This Agreement shall come into effect on the date on which the subscriber is connected to the Service, and shall continue in force for the period of agreement, or until terminated by the subscriber after the initial agreed minimum period, or by Crossan Cable in accordance with the previsions hereof.

14. PAYMENTS - All arrears must be up to date before Service upgrade will be accepted.

15. CHANNELS - Channel layout may be subject to change. Tuning of the TV is the responsibility of the customer.

16. Any actions or inappropriate use by the subscriber of the Cable TV or Broadband network which compromise the operation of the Cable TV or Broadband network, will result in immediate disconnection.

17. Crossan Cable Broadband operate a fair and Equal Usage policy for all our customers. Any abuses of this Fair Usage Policy will result in immediate suspension of the service without notice.

CONNECTION POLICY

Connections take a minimum of 15 working days(3 weeks) to install. Standard connection times are Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Our engineer will call you to arrange an appointment. This call will be made from a mobile phone with the caller ID withheld. It is essential that you keep your phones switched on at all times to receive this call. If we cannot contact you we cannot arrange the installation. Standard installation take approximately 1 hour. If you miss this call the available installation slot will be given to the next available customer on our list. Please do not call the office querying your missed call regarding installation time, our on the road engineer controls this schedule and they will call you again to reschedule.
