Nortel Networks - Wireless Local Loop Project
<< Back

Crossan Tele Com undertook the installation of the Nortel Reunion Kit to Elliot 3
metre x 3 metre EAM
(Equipment Accommodation Units).

This involved the installation of the Wireless Local Loop (WLL) base station, the powering and earthing required for the racks, the network optical termination racks,
antenna lightening arrestor's, Roxotec water sealing gromets.

Through our specialist suppliers supplied all of the materials outside of the Elliot EAM and the Nortel Reunion rack.

Below are some photos detailing work done.

The unistrut is secured to the NNE without actually piercing the main skin. A hole is drilled through the frame and a bolt connected through.

The NNE is also secured into the floor with coach bolts.

The floor brackets have been turned around to allow the rack to be secured closer to the wall.

Unistrut is used across the shelter to help support the NNE when being transported. This can be removed at the final destination

Roxtec is used for cable entry / exit to shelter

The battery rack is now on the same side as the NNE leaving one side of the shelter clear for future equipment

Cable tray is used to secure the surge arrestors. This is also earthed to the shelter.

4 x transmit cables 4 x receive cables
